Hi, everybody!

Thank you very much for participating in the project - St. Valentine’s Day.

The project St. Valentine’s day took place in the Language School In Down-Town Conversation Club “Listen Twice”, first floor.

The project lasted for three weeks from 16/1-13/2/2016. The club members prepared different activities, workshops and games with the help of the Japanese volunteer Yuki Chibana as well as the local volunteers Emily and Anastasia.

The club sessions included the following workshops:

Animals made with heart shaped papers
Three types of flower crafts

Performing Arts Club

The club members learned a history behind St. Valentine’s Day and how it is celebrated around the world.  As a conclusion of their project, Aleksandr Televinov, a member of the club wrote an article named “St. Valentine's Day Celebration in European Countries” posted here on our blog on 06.02.2016.

On 13th of February, students of the school In Down-Town and club members celebrated St. Valentine’s Day.  Aside from the students, international volunteers who work here in Tallinn participated in the celebration; Irene Perissotto, Vincenza Mazzola and Daria Mangione from Italy, Eugenia Novikova from Belarus and Tina Poro from Germany.  With the guests, the party started with the puppet musical theatre “Beauty and the Beast” performed by Performing Arts Club members.  They did their best in front of a big audience and got a lot of compliments and loud applause.

After the play, Also, we welcomed a volunteer Yuto Uchiba from Japan. Students were divided into 3 groups and asked to come up with 5 questions to Yuto. With many questions asked, we got to know a lot about him! He will have his cultural cafe on 12/03/2016. For those who are interested in learning Japanese, you might want to join the Japanese lessons he is planning to have.  Details will be updated later on our Facebook, blog, and our information board on the 5th floor next to the entrance.

The party continued with many fun games.
Valentine’s Day Wack-a-Dooble MadLip - make a funny letter to your Valentine!

After having fun with all St. Valentine’s Day games, students made cards to their friends.
